About twelve miles from downtown Juneau on Douglas Island. The road climbs, winds and gets very dark. Take it slow.
Questions people ask on the way up
Is it too scary for kids?
Before 7 PM the lights stay on and all ages are welcome. That is the hour for younger kids. From 7 to 9 PM the lights go out and the house is for ages 13 and up. It is built to frighten adults.
Can I pay with a card?
No. Admission is cash only, paid at the ticket window. Every dollar goes to Books 2 Boards.
How long does it take?
Longer than you would like. The path winds through the whole lodge, so give yourself time and don’t plan to rush.
Is it indoors?
The haunt is inside Fish Creek Lodge. You will walk in from the parking lot, and it is October in Juneau, so dress for rain.
What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes you can walk in, warm layers and a rain jacket. Costumes are welcome, especially for the photo booth.
