Fish Creek Lodge

The Haunt

One long way through a lodge that does not want you to leave.

It is bigger than you think.

The haunt fills Fish Creek Lodge, the main lodge at the base of Eaglecrest. Rooms you've warmed up in, hallways you've clomped through in ski boots, all of it closed off, blacked out and rebuilt into a single winding path through the Grimm stories.

It takes a while to get through. That's the point. Every room has been built by people who have spent weeks thinking about exactly where you'll look, and exactly where you won't.

Two hours, two houses

The same lodge. A very different night.

Lights on

6:00 – 7:00 PM

All ages. The lights stay up, the house is easier on you, and this is the hour to bring younger kids. It is still a haunted house. Hold hands.

Lights out

7:00 – 9:00 PM

13 and older. At seven the lights go out and the house stops pretending to be kind. This hour is built to genuinely frighten teenagers and grown adults. It is not a place for small children.

The rules of the house

  1. Walk. Never run. It is dark, the floors are old, and something is always closer than it looks.
  2. Stay with your group. Hold onto a shoulder. Count heads at the door.
  3. Hands to yourself. Don't touch the house. Don't touch anything in it.
  4. Keep going. The only way out is through.
  5. Need out? Say so. Tell the nearest volunteer. No one will think less of you. Probably.

What gets you

Fear lives in what you almost see.

The worst of this house isn't what jumps out in front of you. It's the dark, the sounds, the waiting, and the shape at the end of the hall you're not sure was there.
